Yes. Curtains fail for two reasons, and Darkle fixes both.

First, a curtain hangs from a rod. It leaves gaps at the top, the sides, and in the middle where the two sides meet. Light comes in through those gaps.

Second, thin curtain cloth lets light pass right through it.

Darkle does not hang. It's a solid panel that covers the whole window. Magnets hold every edge flat to the surface, so there are no gaps. And the panel is thick enough that no light passes through it.

That's why curtains let light in and Darkle doesn't.

When the middle is blocked and all 4 edges are sealed, light has no way in. Your eyes see full dark, so your body thinks it's night, even with the sun up.

One honest note: the room only gets this dark if you cut the panel right and stick the tabs on a flat surface, so the edges seal all the way around. Follow the steps and you get that deep dark.

The panel is big on purpose. You cut it down to fit your window.

1. Pick where to stick it. You can attach it to the window frame, or to the wall around your window. Choose whichever one is flat.
2. Measure the area you want to cover. Measure how tall it is and how wide it is.
3. Add 1 inch to each side: top, bottom, left, and right. This lets the panel overlap the edges, so no light slips in.
4. Before you cut, hold the panel up over the area. Make sure it is big enough to cover the whole space, plus that extra inch on each side.
5. Cut the panel to size with scissors. No special tools.
6. Stick the small tabs on your surface, then snap the panel onto them with magnets.

Yes. You cut it yourself, so it fits any window.

Square, tall and thin, round, arched, or a strange shape that no curtain ever fit. It doesn't matter. You measure the space, add an inch on each side, and cut the panel to match with scissors.

One panel covers one window. If your window is big or odd, you just cut the piece to cover it.

You lift the panel straight off the magnets. Nothing to peel.

The safest way is to turn each magnet a quarter turn, about 90 degrees. That makes it hold lighter, so it comes off easy with no yanking. Lift the panel away and the daylight comes in.

To make it dark again, just set the panel back on. The magnets grab it. The tabs stay on your surface the whole time, so putting it back takes seconds.

No nails and no holes. The panel holds with magnets.

The only thing that sticks to your surface is a few small tabs. They hold the metal plates that the magnets grab. Put them on a flat spot, either the window frame or the wall around it.

The tabs only come off if you take the whole thing down, like when you move.

Tape lets go after a few weeks, mostly in the heat, and you wake up to light and a curtain on the floor. Darkle doesn't hold the panel with tape. It uses strong magnets that grip steel plates. They don't dry out and they don't peel.

Once the tabs are on and the panel is up, it stays up. It won't sag open while you sleep, and you won't re-tape it every few weeks.
